Emory Quinn Rock at Lake Conroe Live – 12th March

This Friday Emory Quinn going to rock in Lake Conroe. Emory Quinn, or EQ as they are called, is nothing but pure fun. Emory is a well-known name among Americana music artists and the industry. They are not only extremely talented players of several instruments each, but they also are capable of crafting an evolving sound in each tune that is distinct but different in a way that sets the trend and does not follow it. Their music is a collection of cool grooving songs that are not country, not pop, and not Americana.

Lake Conroe musical series- BEN DANAHER Playing Friday March 5th, 2010

Danaher has had the opportunity to open for great musicians like Ryan Turner, The Derailers, Micky and the Motorcars, Django Walker and Honeybrowne, as well as the chance to play at one of live music’s most renowned bars – Cheatham Street Warehouse. “Kent Finlay is a big factor in how far I have gotten so far,” he said. “If it weren’t for him I wouldn’t have a place to develop my songwriting and play it for everyone.”

Danaher played his first show at Cheatham Street in front of hundreds of people, and his passion and enthusiasm ignited the audience. Since then, Danaher has continued to develop his skills as a musician and mature as a songwriter, and he hopes to put out his first record soon.

HOUSTON – Startling residents and weather experts, the Texas city set a record Friday for the earliest snowfall ever, prompting a winter storm warning for the state’s southeast region.

The Houston area expected up to an additional 2 inches of snow Friday evening as a powerful surge delivered cold air down from the Rockies. Some areas could receive 3 to 5 inches of snow. How ever Houston and surrounding areas braced for more than snow: Rain, freezing, rain, sleet and hail were expected to hit the area hard.
